Mike Hanafee

Mike Hanafee

Interim Pastor

Mike is honored to serve as interim pastor in this season and is pumped for what the Lord will do in and through LBC. He holds an M.Div. degree and has pastored in Indiana, Oregon, and Michigan, where he planted a church in inner city Detroit in 2011. Mike loves pointing people to Jesus through expositional preaching and in everyday relationships. He enjoys a good meal, playing in the MSBL baseball league, and deer hunting. Mike and Susan have been married for 30 years and God has blessed them with six children: Kevin, Carolyn, Ian, Claire, Emma, and Titus.

Lon Harris

Lon Harris

Assistant Interim Pastor

Lon has a vibrant passion for ministry and seeing people come to know Christ as savior. In 2013 he received his pastoral credentials through Global University (Berean School of the Bible) in Springfield, MO and has since been ordained through the National Association of Christian Ministers (NACM). He served on staff at a previous church as an Associate/ NextGen pastor as well as serving for 7 years as a U.S. home missionary with Michigan Youth Alive. Outside of traditional ministry, he shares the gospel through music as an independent Christian hip hop artist—bringing truth and encouragement to diverse audiences. Lon has been married to his wife Paullette since 2007, and they have two amazing sons (Nehemiah & Malachi). He leads with authenticity, creativity, and a heart for discipleship and reaching the lost. He is honored to help assist Pastor Mike and serve our church family during this season of transition.
Pauline Casey

Family and Youth Ministry Director

Pauline Casey is the Family and Youth Ministry Director at Lighthouse Bible Church, New Baltimore. Pauline has been in youth ministry for over 30 years. She attended Warren High School, then went to Moody Bible Institute where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Youth Ministry with a minor in Theology. Pauline has been married to Steve since 2004 and they have 2 beautiful daughters, Sydney and Jordan. Pauline’s passion is family and youth ministry. She was called by God at the age of 16 to full time ministry and loves people and God with all that she is.

Cheryl Velloney

Administrative Assistant

Cheryl Velloney is the Administrative Assistant at Lighthouse Bible Church, New Baltimore. Cheryl brings over 30 years of valuable experience in customer service, sales, and real estate appraising and investing. She was born and raised in Wadsworth, Ohio, and moved to Michigan in 2000. Cheryl has been married to her husband, Mark, since 1996, and they have three children: Tiffani, Alexandra, and Chase. She also has two sons-in-law, Lucas and Derrick, and two grandsons, Lucas Scott and Cooper. Cheryl considers it a privilege to serve in any capacity at LBC.

Michael Carrothers

Michael Carrothers

Music Coordinator

Michael Carrothers is the music coordinator at Lighthouse Bible Church, New Baltimore. Michael graduated from University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and is currently an engineer at Ford Motor Company. He loves leading worship at Lighthouse alongside a team of amazing singers, musicians, and audio/visual techs. One of his favorite parts of Sunday mornings is hearing the Lighthouse family loudly praising God for who He is and what He has done. Michael is married to his wife, Tyler; they have been married for 5 years and look forward to the adventures the coming years will bring them.

Jeff Bean

Jeff Bean

Retired Pastor

Pastor Jeff Bean served as Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Bible Church, New Baltimore, from 2009 until his retirement in 2025. A member since 1996, he previously led Outreach and Youth Ministries while working as an engineer at TRW Automotive. Pastor Jeff holds degrees from Michigan Technological University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Peggy have been married for over 45 years and are blessed with four adult children and six grandchildren.
